Value Engineering ConferencesThere are many Value Engineering, Management, and Analysis Conferences being held in the each year. This is a list of the ones we are aware of. Updates and links to these are updated when we receive them. To request an update, please e-mail us. China (Beijing) ConferenceThe 2003 Beijing International Value Engineering and Management Academic Conference (BIVEMAC) is scheduled for April 18-19th, 2003 and is hosted by Value Engineering Society of Beijing. The Value Engineering Society of Beijing (VESB) invites papers for the 2003 annual academic conference on the captioned theme. Call for papers closes Dec 31th, 2002. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word can be submitted electronically to the address: vesb@mail.china.com or buaaipmp@263.net. AASHTO ConferenceThe 2003 AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) Value Engineering Conference will be held in Tampa, Florida in July 2003. Applications for 2003 AASHTO Value Engineering Awards are due by March 1, 2003. Institute of Value ManagementThe theme for the Conference will be: VALUE – a Management Goal. We think the paper selection is still open. Check their web site and contact them to make sure. The 2003 Conference will take place in Lisbon, in 22 May 2003. Lawrence D. Miles Value FoundationThe fourth conference for university and college faculty will be held by the Foundation in conjunction with the beginning of the next SAVE International conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on Sunday, June 2003. All faculty interested in offering a value methodology course at their school are welcome to attend. SAVE ConferenceThe 2003 SAVE International Value Engineering Conference will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona in June 9-11, 2003. Deadline for submission of paper proposals was August 26, 2002. SJVE InternationalThe 2003 conference dates have not been announced yet. The SJVE International Annual Conference was held Oct 31-Nov 1, 2002 at Arcadia Ichigaya, Tokyo, Japan. Value Practitioners from Japan and overseas gathered to present the latest value study papers and case studies and exchange information. July 26, 2002 and August 30, 2002 was the deadlines for those interested in submitting technical papers. Australia ConferenceThe next conference will be in 2004 - IVMA Conference (details to be confirmed - expected to be in Melbourne in September). The 2002 Value Management Conference was held in Hobart Tasmania, on the 29th and 30th August 2002. The theme for this conference is "A Balanced Scorecard - putting the focus on people values in decision making." The 2004 conference date has not been announced.
